Prof.Jayapandian has the blend of academic and industrial experience. He is at present a financial consultant in Chennai. He has over 18 years experience in management teaching in institutions of repute such as Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur; Institute for Financial Management and Research, Chennai; Maharishi Institute of Management, Bengaluru; Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management, Secunderabad; and Department of Management Studies, Jaya Engineering College, Chennai. He had worked in Reserve Bank of India and Industrial Development Bank of India for over 15 years in the area of project management. He was also the managing director of a medium scale industry in South for 11 years. Besides, he was chief consultant to Oriental Consultants, an IDBI approved consultancy firm. Prof. Jayapandian has to his credit more than 30 papers published in leading financial journals, besides authoring four books.
