About the Book:-
This book is written for students pursuing undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering or post graduate studies in Chemistry, for understanding the basics of Polymer Chemistry. It is written with a progressive logic, which means that terms and concepts are defined when they are first introduced. One implication of this is that it is sensible for the students to start at the beginning and to work their way through the text and the questions.
Contents :-
Preface, Basic Terms and Definitions, 1. Introduction, 2. Chain Growth Polymerization, 3. Step Growth Polymerization, 4. Copolymerization 5. Polymer Properties, 6. Polymer Characterization, 7. Polymerization Practices, 8. Polymer Processing, 9. Commercially Important Polymers, Questions, Index.
About the Authors:-
Prof. V.K.Ahluwalia is visiting professor at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar center for Biomedical Research, University of Delhi. He has been teaching graduate and postgraduate classes for over thirty years and has delivered a number of invited lectures in India and abroad. He has published a large number of papers and is author of a number of books like, Organic Reaction Mechanism, Green Chemistry and Chemistry of Natural Products, etc.
